Welcome to the SaddleBrooke Swim Club

The SaddleBrooke Swim Club provides an opportunity for SaddleBrooke, Preserve, and SaddleBrooke Ranch residents to swim in a structured setting. Whether you are swimming for fitness or competition, you will find a place to enjoy swimming with our club while improving your fitness and /or honing your competitive skills.

New Workout Schedule:  2014 – 2015

At our fall meeting on Friday, Oct 10th, Doug announced the work-out times for practices for the coming year. Starting Monday, Oct 13th, you will have the opportunity to select from among two practices on MWF and three practices on TTHSat. Here are the times and yardage goals for the sessions:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday

7 to 8:30 AM — goal is 2500+ yards

8:30 to 10 AM — goal is 1500+ yards

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

7 to 8:30 AM — goal is 3000+ yards

8:30 to 10 AM — goal is 2500+ yards

10 to 11 AM — goal is 1500+ yards

Note 1: The workout yardage goals will be directed at the center lanes; outside lanes may be swimming less yardage. Coach Doug expects swimmers to be in the water, warming up (on their own) at the start time. Coaching will start approximately 15 minutes after the session start time.

Note 2: Coach Doug will usually be coaching the 7 AM practices from in the water. He will be coaching from the deck at the 8:30 AM practices on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Ed Thompson will be responsible for arranging coaching at the 8:30 AM sessions on Wednesday while Coach Doug takes a well deserved break. Coach Doug will handle the 10 AM sessions until Coach Phil Simpson returns to SB for the winter.
